Mini Cheesecake at Eileen’s Special Cheesecake – NYC

Happy Sunday! Hope everyone’s weekend wasn’t too crazy with Halloween upon us. I personally could live without the holiday, but then again I’m a grumpy individual. Something that makes me less grumpy, however, is the cheesecake at Eileen’s Special Cheesecake.

It’s not your typical New York-style cheeesecake, but it’s definitely special. Light and incredibly fluffy, it’s the essence of a cheesecake crossed with a cloud. Eileen Avezzano, the owner since 1975, credits the lightness to separating the eggs and whipping the egg whites until they peak in the baking process.

A whole fruit-topped cheesecake will run you around $40 (price varies depending on the topping), but if you have portion-control issues like me, a mini strawberry cheesecake is the perfect solution and will only set you back $3.50.
