The Munchies & April Bloomfield Cookbook Giveaway
I’ve always been a big fan of April Bloomfield and all her restaurants (Spotted Pig, The Breslin, and The John Dory), so when this opportunity came along to do a giveaway for her new cookbook, A Girl and Her Pig: Recipes and Stories, I knew I had to jump on it. The cookbook/memoir is beautifully illustrated and features many recipes for the offal-lover like Sweetbreads with Braised Baby Artichokes and Tongue Sandwiches, but surprisingly, also a number of vegetarian-friendly recipes like Lentil and Chickpea Salad and Seven-Vegetable Soup as well.
Now to enter in a chance to win A Girl and Her Pig, first vote in the The Munchies: People’s Choice Food Awards. Presented by General Mills’ Tablespoon.com, it’s the “second annual celebration of the best food experiences and culinary tastemakers across America.” You can vote for your favorite in any category, such as best chef, best pizza, or best blog (ahem, this blog is sorely missing, but I won’t hate). The nominees were picked by an expert panel of 25 food experts (including April Bloomfield) led by Mr. Bizzare Foods himself, Andrew Zimmern. You can vote once per day, today to April 30.
After voting at Tablespoon.com/themunchies, simply enter in the comments below the one nominee you voted for in any category. I will be picking one lucky reader at random. Giveaway ends Wednesday (May 1, 2013) at midnight. U.S. entrants only. Good luck!
