On Cinco de Mayo, instead of getting sh*t-faced on margaritas, I met up with fellow food lovers — James, Chris, Robyn, Kåre, Melissa, Noah, Steve, Chichi, Hungry, Yvo, Michael, and Jeremy — for a Tsingtao and cumin-fueled night at Fu Run. The best dish of the entire meal was the Muslim Lamb Chop ($21.95), a rack of lamb fried crunchy and encrusted with an insane amount of cumin. Besides being a basic flavor bomb, the meat was juicy and fall-off-the-bone tender. I foresee another visit to Fu Run in the near future. No tequila, but no regrets.
