I even asked him again where the food was better, and he said definitely Quanjude. I'm used to duck costing anywhere from 10-15 USD in moderately nice Taiwanese places... Quanjude does look super upscale to most places in Beijing though. Haha, too funny. Quanjude is one of the fancier and oldest Peking duck houses. Another woman we met in Beijing suggested another restaurant, but when we asked the concierge at our hotel, he told us we should go to Quanjude because the other place is a local/casual restaurant. I don't think the tour guide ate at all at the restaurant. Perhaps he ate while we were climbing the Great Wall. As for the skin, it was deceiving.
